Unidentified firefighter makes his way up Bluegrass Ridge on Mt Hood. Two weeks into the fires on Mount Hood and they are only 35 percent contained. There are more than 700 people fighting these fires. But the going is slow because of rugged terrain and rules governing fire suprression in the wilderness. We'll discuss the limitations in techniquies and the logisitics of fighting a backcountry fire, such as having to supply spike crews by mule train and air drops. (photo by bruce ely 503-381-2530)
